Relax-Stop trying too hard

So you are promting your business service/product.  You know what you want to achieve and earn in XXX amount of time.  You have defined goals, a plan, and you are set up with a great support system.  Way to Go!  All of the above is important and will lead you to greater self confidence and knowledge.

You've also managed to be involved with local and social networking.  Great!  More knowledge, more friends and possible referrals.  Can't go wrong here

Time to advertise.  You're investing in your business.  A spot here, a coupon there, an Ad over there, and you throw in your own advertising (hey, why not?  It's free).
Before long, you've managed and maintained a group of people who are passively interested in your service/product.  In your mind this may be perceived as they are READY to take what you have to offer.  So you start plummeting networking groups with ads, chasing people down with your brochure, ""overcoming objections""
You are going make it Big!

STOP!
Goal setting, work, reaching out person to person and through advertisement.  That's all good.  Being excited and serving others.  That's fantastic too.  Just be careful not to try too hard.  There is no benefit to pushing your service on someone who is not ready or does not have a need for it.  There is no benefit trying to overcome objections or convince anyone of anything..  You cannot crawl into someone's mind and change how they are programmed to think.  Let it be and move on.
There is a market for everything, but keep in mind Timing is Everything.

Have fun and Enjoy

When you are enjoying what you do, others will too.

  1. There is a market for everything, but there is a time for everything. Good point on this one, Kathy. So many people do work too hard to wind up not really being happy with their outcome because they did not do it "right."
