A Look inside the Heart of an Artist

*This photo is the property of Matt Gullstrand

Title: MY BUDDY

Matt Quotes
"My late dog Booboo. He was my first dog. Had him for almost 11 years until he passed 2 years ago. I know it's cliche to say that a beloved pet is a member of your family, but Booboo truly was his own entity. That's why he was special to us."

The Interview.
Matt Gullstrand has always loved to create from the time he was a toddler.  As teen began to sketch and draw in the privacy of his home.  It is simply amazing how he captures the life and feeling in his creations.  When asked how, Matt says:

"What I always notice about my art is that whatever I draw tends to mean something to me, in a sense of ideas, but it never hits me until a day or so after I've drawn it. Yesterday I disliked this piece but today parting with it would affect me greatly.
Anything I draw is an extension of myself in some way. Even if what I draw doesn't necessarily have any incisive meaning, it's just the fact that I put even a small bit of effort into it that Even if what I draw doesn't necessarily have any incisive meaning, it's just the fact that I put even a small bit of effort into it that makes it hard to part with, like your children. It grows, you learn from it and in turn it develops. It's your legacy.

The only difference is that I don't want anything I draw to be the same as a previous work. If you continue doing that same thing and stray from experimentation, everything you draw loses meaning. If I do 100 pieces that, while possibly related, all retain their own individuality then my art stays singular and seminal. This way it avoids becoming a cycle and stays a path."

Drect Selling Offers relief during economic crunch

Recently, you or many you know may be complaining about the economy, the bills going up, income going down, loss of employment or even having to make daily sacrifices within simple daily routines of the family.

While we hope for better times ahead, realistic bombs keep dropping on our daily lives causing anxiety and depression as large corporations make cut backs, pay cuts or even shut their doors. Full time job availability is far and few between. College students may find it difficult to land summer work, even on a part time basis.

Times like these call for survival of the fittest. On the upside, there is an answer and one large group who fit into the "fittest" category. This group looks to the direct sales and marketing field. 3- A direct sales career requires seeing and talking to people. The benefits of networking alone very often leads to unimaginable opportunities for future income.

Good morning Friends.

Summer is here. Well, not officially, but we are swinging right into sunny, warmth and I am excited. My favorite time of year. Just love the extended daylight, backyard barbecues, taking a swim or taking a float, the comfy flip flops and clothing and the sunshine.

How about you? Is there something you love about summer or an activity you prefer more this time of year? I'd love to hear from you.

Today's tips will be few and focused around catering the the senses and senses.

Since there are uniquely powerful emotional associations that are elicited by scent, the scents we bath in and surround ourseles with can have a powerful effect on our daily lives. This is where aromatherapy comes into play. For instance,

Vanilla Cream (though sweet smelling) can be used to ward off sweet cravings.

Peppermint can enhance both physical and mental energy and performance.

Grapefruit also has been found to increase alertness

Lavender scents can encourage relaxation and improve sleep quality

Orange aroma can boost mood and make people feel more relaxed during stressful activities.

Wether you are looking to destress, boost energy or satiate sweet craving surrounding your senses really does help naturally.

One last tip for today and reminder for your summer skin:

Use Sun protection.

Celebrate Fun in the Sun!
